With a touch of Surrealism in the juxtaposition of her eye, artist tries to show the symbolic beauty of Minnie Ha Ha.
“My Cat Named Skakes” Skakes was named after Jimmy Skakel, who was President of Great Lakes Carbon Company and he owned Rockefeller Center in New York City. Jimmy Skakel was a brother to Ethel Kennedy, wife of Robert Kennedy. Mr. Skakel became a friend of artist when she worked at the Metropolitan Club and they enjoyed reading the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal together in the Canadian Club in New York on Wednesday nights.
