In this painting, artist remembers enjoying visits with Nadeem Quadri and taking him to her Mother’s properties. They had dreams and hopes of a beautiful development on those properties in the future. Pakistan, now known as Bangladesh, is known to have areas of Muslim and Hindu. Completed 3/5/2023
“Girl of Ethiopia” 8” x 10” mixed, on canvas, Artist once had the pleasure of meeting ( the then King of Ethiopia) during their lunch at the Metropolitan Club in NYC. Ethiopia is a kingdom in E. Africa: a part of the former Italian E. Africa 1936-41, & a region bordering Egypt & the Red Sea. The Semitic language now is used only as the liturgical language of the Ethiopian Church. Many people identify with model & designer, IMAN, as a perfect example of Ethiopian beauty, as does artist. However, in this painting, artist wanted to show a certain style & charm of the young girls of this region. Completed 3/17/2023.

"Alone" mixed 12" X 12" This painting is full of emotion. She was inspired by a friend of the artist’s, named Wendy. While Jaishiama made her painting show a very strong style, as if the girl was photographed in motion, she also tried to convey the way a girl feels when abandoned.
“Thanksgiving” mixed 12 X 12 Artist’s Dad, Mayor Frank L. Jacobs, bought a beautiful dining room table for the Family. It came from Chillicothe, Ohio. It once graced the historical home called, ADENA. It has twenty seven leaves, is Republic Furniture, and there is not a single nail in this dining room table. Thomas Jefferson signed the State Seal of Ohio on this very table. During the time the table was in Adena, Native Americans would enjoy their Thanksgiving meals with the President of the United States. This was often the largest feast of the year. Artist and her Family dined every year on this table, while Nola Emily Daniel Brock (artist’s Grand) prepared the food. Cherries Jubilee was usually the dessert. “ Artist wanted to capture the sensitivity of a young girl hoping to be with her Family on Thanksgiving.” Completed on July 9, 2022.

This painting Artist feels she cannot take complete credit for, as this was accomplished by the magnificent Artist, Greg Cartmell, as her teacher and herself. Painting has all the right ingredients….great color, a certain type of beauty, and sensitivity.

I sat in a tall chair outside of where they served tea. All of a sudden a tall man of nice appearance appeared. He took out his violin and played Poor Butterfly for me. That man was the great Isaac Stern.

Peterson, close friend of artist’s Dad, would visit the King of Siam on occasion. Col. Pete was so taken with the gracious charm of the King’s Number One Wife, that he bought her an ermine coat on one of his visits. The ladies of Thailand are still considered to be some of the most beautiful in the world, as artist hoped to depict of this Thailander.
